FINISHED! Completing the Online TEFL Course.
By Heather Holding, Greenheart Travel Intern
Heather is taking our Professional 170 hour online TEFL course, and sharing her experiences through this blog series.
This will be my last post! I’ve really enjoyed creating this blog and explaining the experience taking the TEFL course! Greenheart Travel has been so amazing helping me through my first blog.
Once you have completed all of your practicum hours and completed the course (I did this in the last week) you will send all of your practicum documents in to be confirmed. These are the following documents you need to complete and send in the mail. All of these forms can be found under the practicum section on the course module.
1. Course Completion Form
2. Time Log
3. Student teaching/tutoring/observing Evaluation
In addition you will also need to post under the practicum experience forum and write a quick one page write up about your practicum experience. In this write up you will include…
- Where you completed your practicum
- How you found your practicum location
- What activity you did (tutor, observation, student teach or a combination)
- What type of language school or class you were in
- Types of students – age, background, etc.
- What your overall experience was like – highlights and areas that could have been improved
You will also need to fill out the Final Course Evaluation located in the class module this will give you 10 extra point on your grade total! This is an evaluation of the course and your instructor. I was very honest in my evaluation so that the course staff are able to make the course better for future students.
After mailing in all of these documents and completing the course, posting my practicum experience, and completing the course evaluation I received an e-mail from Christie in the Student Affairs Department telling me that they had received all of my documents in the mail and I had completed the course and they will be mailing my my certificate in the next 4-6 weeks.
Thank you to everyone reading my blog and I hope it’s been helpful!
