Photo Friday from Costa Rica
Hannah Nevitt, our “Show Us Your Greenheart” photo contest winner, spent time volunteering in Costa Rica last year and shares her winning entries from our animal rescue and eco-reserve volunteer project. Based on a private ecological reserve in the rainforests of northern Costa Rica, this project acts as a home for rescued wild animals and also is a site for ongoing conservation and community development projects that help to protect and sustain the natural beauty of the rainforest and local residents.

I was being resourceful to protect myself from the daily downpour of rain.
Holding hands with one of the monkeys at Proyecto Asis. Amazing how human-like they can be.
At the rescue center we had a litter of baby “mapaches” or racoons. This one very social!
