Candidates should generally be fluent English speakers, in good mental and physical health, hold a valid passport, and meet background and education requirements. A bachelor’s degree is typically required, and some applicants may also need a TEFL/TESOL certification.
Teachers usually begin with an orientation in Thailand to prepare for the classroom and daily life in-country. An optional in-person TEFL/TESOL course may also be available before placement for those who need certification. A short-term summer option may be available for candidates seeking a more limited commitment.
