Sunday Funday***

Sunday Funday***

Today a group of us from my TESOL program woke up quite early to head to Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park where the Phraya Nakhon Cave is located. To get there we had to take about a 45 minute car ride (which XploreAsia graciously helped us set up) to arrive at Laem Sala Beach. Once there you could either hike over a mountain (or a hill, I’m from Florida, anything above sea-level is enormous to me) or you could take a boat to the other side to access the park. Once you reach the national park you hike for about 45 minutes before you begin the descend into the first cave. It is absolutely stunning; the pictures and the video do not do it justice. Once at the bottom of the cave if you keep walking you can enter into another cave where there is a temple. We spent probably two hours exploring the caves before we returned to the beach for lunch and to swim. If you’re ever in Hua Hin, I highly recommend going it is well worth the effort to get there. The water was a beautiful blue, it was low tide and the sand bar was perfect, the water was so warm that at one point it felt hotter than a Jacuzzi. Overall it was great day, it was pretty much the last time our whole group was able to get together before we all leave to start teaching. I’m not going to lie, the past month we have all grown so close that I can’t imagine Thailand without them anymore.
