Happy Easter!!!! I decided to keep to my ritual and blog today since it is a Sunday…but I will say now that you have to wait until next Sunday for all of the pictures :/ sorry! But anyway back to my previous week….My Easter holidays began on Monday with a cooking class hosted by me, myself, Maddie. Clara and Federica came over to learn how to make the different treats that I’ve been making since I got here. Oreo truffles, scotcheroos, and caramelitas are all loved by most. We successfully completed all 3 dishes and then had a lovely, relaxing afternoon in the sun….yes sun. I know I can’t believe it either! Ireland sun. And it’s been lasting all week!!! Ahh it’s been so nice and hopefully will stay for the upcoming week as well. Fingers crossed. On Tuesday there were 10 of us that went horse riding up in the lakes and forests by Tramore. It was the Australian, Natalie’s birthday so it was all a surprise to her and then we went to her house and had a surprise party too. Basketball, hurling, soccer, pizza, and sweets. So many birthdays! Haha I didn’t do much on Wednesday just got packed for my holiday in Kerry. Thursday started off great by getting a birthday package in the mail from Mom and Dad! Thanks so much by the way:) on Thursday all the girls, Eleanor, and I went to Eleanor friend, Alicia’s house and got dinner and went on a walk through the forest and lake. Friday morning we all got up and headed off to Killarney to start the long awaited vacation. We finally got to the big hotel with a swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, restaurant, pub, and all of our rooms. There are 9 adults and 5 kids for 3 nights and 4 days. We all went swimming on Friday and had a great dinner. Yesterday we went searching for a supposed beach that I don’t believe is even real after looking for a couple hours in a car through the mountains. Even up on the tallest mountain in Ireland. Today the kids all go on an egg hunt and then we’ll walk down to the Torc Waterfall. And this morning the Easter Bunny somehow found me all the way over here and got me an Irish chocolate Easter egg. I meet up with the other students tomorrow to stay for another 5 days and go back on Saturday. Pictures to come next Sunday!!! Have a great easter!!
