Yesterday I had the magical experience of visiting these gentle giants. The Elephant Nature Park is a wonderful and ethical sanctuary home to various abused, old, retired and even a couple of baby elephants. After a life of torture these amazing creatures are given a second chance at life and an opportunity to trust humans again. Many people are unaware of the torture and pain that many elephants experience within the tourist industry. Prior to coming to Thailand I had no idea that elephants experience such torture not only in the tourist industry here but as well in the logging industry. Not too soon after my arrival I quickly learned the horrors behind working elephants in this country. If you plan on visiting any type of animal attraction please do your research prior. The best way to rid yourself of ignorance is to educate yourself. ❤? ? @mikeyseq? #donotride #animalrights #animalabuse #educate #ethical #chayadventures #wanderlusting #wanderlust #wander #travelbug #travel #travelblog #instatravel #instagood #amazingplaces #traveladdict #adventure #greenhearttravel #beautifuldestinations #tesol #teachabroad #teachenglish #thailandluxe #thailand #southeastasia #asia #chaingmai #elephantnaturepark #elephant #ecotourism

At 11am every day the school kids in #Cambodia head home for lunch. Pictured here is a group of children going home and having to cross the bamboo train tracks to get home. They were all so friendly and waved as they passed by us! Majority of the students we saw on our trip rode Bicycles unlike our Thai students who all ride motorbikes to and from school. Personally, I wish my students rode bicycles so they weren’t coming into class every day with scratches and bruises. #Battambang #BambooTrain #traintracks #kids #students #bicycle #picoftheday #travel #instatravel #travelCambodia #traveltheworld #greenhearttravel #xploreasia #Adventure #explore #experience #blogger #happy #teacher #lonleyplanet #natgeo #passionpassport #culturetrip
