Video: A Cultural Last Week in Japan

Video: A Cultural Last Week in Japan

So much goes into learning a language during our teen summer language course in Fukuoka, Japan. It’s an intense, incredible three weeks of cultural immersion in and out of the classroom.

Katarina Guillot, one of our language students, just finished her Japanese course. In this third and final video, she shares about her last week in Fukuoka – featuring a full schedule of Japanese cooking, traditional drumming, karaoke, and even bowling! Duke Takeno, our Greenheart Travel correspondent scholarship winner, definitely impresses with his dumpling-wrapping skills.

We love seeing how our participants grow from an experience abroad. Katarina provides us with an emotional flashback towards the end of this video to show just how much travel knowledge she’s gained from her time in Japan. Be sure to catch her words of wisdom and gratitude at the end as well!
